Applies to bookings paid or managed through ShowMeBus. The fare conditions shown before payment remain part of your booking.
Check the fare conditions
Refund eligibility can differ by operator, route, fare, departure time, and reason. Review the cancellation terms displayed before payment and in your confirmation. A request is not approved merely because it was submitted; ShowMeBus must validate the booking, applicable conditions, timing, and payment status.
Customer cancellation
Use Manage Booking or contact support with the booking reference and account email. Submit the request as early as possible and before departure where the fare requires it. We will show or communicate any eligible amount, non-refundable component, or operator charge before final processing when practical.
Operator cancellation or material change
If the operator cancels the confirmed journey or makes a material change that prevents the booked service from being delivered, ShowMeBus will coordinate the remedy available for that booking, which may include rebooking or a refund. Mandatory passenger and consumer rights always remain unaffected.
Missed journeys and passenger issues
A missed departure, late arrival, invalid travel document, incorrect passenger details, prohibited luggage, or refusal of carriage for lawful safety reasons may not qualify for a refund. Contact support promptly if station information or a platform error contributed to the problem so the evidence can be reviewed.
Refund amount and method
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method unless law or the provider requires another method. The amount may reflect the fare conditions and any lawfully non-refundable component shown at purchase. ShowMeBus will never request a card number or CVV by email to process a refund.
Processing time and status
ShowMeBus records the refund when approved and sends the instruction to the payment provider. Banks and providers control the time before funds appear, which may vary by method and country. Keep the booking reference and contact us if the provider’s expected processing window has passed.
Disputes and chargebacks
Contact us first so we can investigate the operator, ticket, check-in, and payment records. Starting a chargeback does not guarantee reimbursement and may pause a parallel refund to prevent duplicate payment reversal. Nothing in this process restricts rights you have under mandatory law.
